Regions

Mexico is the largest producer of prickly pear cactus in the world as it accounts 50% of world production.  However, significant amounts are produced in Italy, Chile, South Africa, Argentina and Israel.

Prickly pear, tastes like a very concentrated watermelon with a little sweet aftertaste. Its texture is a mix between soft and crisp and it also contains slippery interior juices.

Preparation

Be sure to handle with care and attention, slice both ends of the prickly pear off and discard the ends. Make one long vertical slice down the body of the prickly pear. Slip your finger into the slice and grab a hold of the skin. Peel back the skin and once you finish discard the skin. The seeds are edible and you can eat them if you like. You can eat the fruit raw or you make juice or smoothies.

Dog loves them
Size: 6 Inch, Color: Independence Day
My dog loved the first ball I got her, so I got her a second one. Both hhavr been very durable (she likes to puncture things with her teeth). I left each ball slightly deflated, so they were still firm, but she could bite them without issues. She has not punctured either ball yet. I did have to watch her because she started trying to chew the tabs off because she was bored. She has not chewed one off, just started thinking about it, and did a tiny bit of damage to one tab. She loves these balls. We have played tug of wat with them too, so yhe tabs are sturdy, and so is the ball. The dog did not care what collar she got, so I grabbed the least expensive one, and the 6 inch. She is a medium sized dog with razor teeth, and these work great.

Not recommended for the aggressive player..

First this ball was not delivered when it should have been. Second, the tabs are poorly made. One day of my dog playing with it and the tabs are already torn up. The ball itself is fun for her and has not deflated for now at least.

Best Balls Ever!!!
Size: Medium
These are the best balls ever! We have 2 very active ball loving dogs and these bounce very well and they actually hold up with active play and chewing. They still look brand new after daily use for months!

Finally a ball my power chewers cannot destroy
Size: Medium
I have two dogs, an American Bully and an American Pit Bull Terrier, and both of them love to chew. Most balls last a very short time around here before they are shredded or missing big chunks. This one has actually held up. They chase it, tug on it and sit and chew on it, and it is still in one piece with no pieces breaking off. One of my favorite things is being able to put food inside. I add some kibble or small snacks, and they will happily sit and work on it for a long time. It keeps them busy, gives them something safe to chew, and they get a little reward while they play. When they are done, I just rinse it out and it is ready to go again. If you have strong jawed dogs that usually destroy toys, this ball is worth trying. Mine really enjoy it and I feel better knowing they finally have a ball that can keep up with them.

My dog LOVES this ball
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
Does your dog destroy tennis balls in seconds? Yes? Then your dog NEEDS this ball! It's squishy like a tennis ball, fits in ball launchers (even the cheap ones) and bounces when it hits the ground. My dog has been literally playing with this ball all day and not a single mark on it! The only bad thing is that it does not float. Definitely worth the money! Put it in your cart!
